The darknet market for fake vaccination certificates is booming, a security researcher with Kaspersky Lab has told RT. Fake documents are offered for $300 on average, but what the buyers get for their money is another story.
A new spike in the trade of phony Covid-19 papers has been observed on the Dark Web, Kaspersky Lab’s security researcher Dmitry Galov has observed. The new peak was apparently triggered by the people’s “will to travel more freely, because countries are currently implementing different IT services that are info-checking whether you’re vaccinated or not,” the key man at the Moscow-based firm said.
