A Maryland nuclear engineer and his wife have been arrested and charged with espionage for trying to sell classified information on US nuclear submarines to a foreign power. Their scheme was foiled in an FBI sting operation.
Jonathan and Diana Toebbe, of Annapolis, Maryland, were arrested in Jefferson County, West Virginia, by the FBI and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service on Saturday, according to a Justice Department press release.
