Trump administration officials have held discussions with US technology giants, private-equity firms and veteran telecom executives on strategies to boost the nation’s presence in next-generation 5G technology.
According to the Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, the ideas include helping large US companies such as CISCO buy up European equipment makers, possibly including Ericsson or Nokia.
