Firefighters were called to assist the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the US Army Europe over the weekend after their armored infantry carrier burst into flames while traveling through the Polish village of Gorzekaly.
A total of four fire brigades – WSP Bemowo Piskie, OSP Drygały, OSP Orzysz and JRG Pisz – descended on the northern Polish village on Saturday after a US Army Stryker’s engine fire caused troops to halt their ongoing mission, according to UK-based outlet Defence Blog.
