Doctors Without Borders, Medecins Sans Frontieres, have documented an attack on their aid convoy, they say was an Israeli attack. Right, so Doctors Without Borders, or Medecins Sans Frontieres to give them their proper name, is a humanitarian aid charity most of us have heard of. From warzones to disease epidemics, they send doctors and nurses in to help, do sterling work, providing medical care and aid, in places where for whatever reason there might not be very much available. Certainly, right now, this applies to Gaza and they are very much there, very much present, working, in their clearly marked vehicles and of course Israel know they are there, because they let them in, nobody can go in or out of Gaza without Israel allowing it, the biggest open air prison on the planet as it is. MSF will be on the ground, they will go to where patients cannot reach hospitals, they will be working in hospitals too supplementing staff numbers to cope with the crisis, but given the Israeli targeting of hospitals particularly, the horrifying, deeply disturbing footage that we’ve seen come out, that MSF have found Israel to have deliberately targeted one of their own convoys, can we really deny any longer that Israel are deliberately targeting medical aid in Gaza to strip the people there of the medical help they should expect of need under international law?
