Stanford professor, author, Russia expert and former Obama administration official Michael McFaul recently tweeted out his concern that nuclear war between Russia and NATO countries was unlikely but not impossible, and that it’s therefore incumbent on the Biden White House to do everything possible to prevent the Ukraine war from escalating in that direction. And then the next day McFaul was tweeting about how Russia’s most recent attacks on Ukraine infrastructure and other soft targets are terrorism and must be met with a severe response.
