The war in Ukraine has been going on for eight years. Recently, tensions began heating up, with multiple Western countries expecting an imminent ‘Russian invasion’ of its neighbor. Moscow strongly denies these rumors, instead pointing the finger at Ukraine and Kiev’s increased eagerness to take back its ‘rogue regions’ by force, exacerbated by the West’s shipments of arms and ammunition. RT asked Donetsk-based journalist Vladislav Ugolniy to describe what life is like in the city many expect a relapse into a full-scale war, and what residents think of Russia, Ukraine, and the never-ceasing drumbeat of war.
