Demonstrations broke out across Kazakhstan this week, as the people protested the worsening economic climate that has seen new price hikes for the cost of fuel. The protesters took to the streets of several Kazakh cities, including the former capital Almaty. With this latest upheaval, the Central Asia region sees its largest country at an important crossroad.
