The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell for sex-trafficking charges commenced on Monday. Prosecutors say the disgraced socialite, whom deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had called his “best friend,” was instrumental in procuring victims as young as 14 to satisfy his depraved appetites.
