CTO Parag Agrawal is preparing to take his place at the helm of the social media giant. Meanwhile, CNN continues to struggle for relevance amid hemorrhaging viewership as right-wing media outlet FOX and Newsmax appear to overtake the “most trusted name in news” in popularity. CEO Jeff Zucker is slated to leave by the end of the year in a last-ditch effort for CNN’s leadership to rediscover its soul. The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell for sex-trafficking charges commenced on Monday. Prosecutors say the disgraced socialite, whom deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had called his “best friend,” was instrumental in procuring victims as young as 14 to satisfy his depraved appetites. The trial is expected to last six weeks. Maxwell is pleading not guilty. RT America’s John Huddy reports from outside the federal courthouse in lower Manhattan.
