Russia’s real life Robocop: Remote Far Eastern Vostochny spaceport to trial unmanned self-driving combat robot for patrol duty

Russia’s space agency will check if a newly developed self-driving combat robot prototype is capable of repelling attacks on the Vostochny spaceport in the Far East. The technology could be eventually used for Moon exploration.

The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, wrote on Telegram, on Thursday, that the ‘Marker’ unmanned ground vehicle will practice patrolling the area around the facility, located in the remote Amur region.
