Cargo ship BREAKS DOWN in Suez Canal – but it’s not as bad as last time

A cargo ship stalled on the Suez Canal this week, media reports have revealed. Unlike the Ever Given blockage in March, which took six days to fix while 12% of world shipping stood still, the situation was, luckily, soon resolved.

The Maersk Emerald – a Singapore-flagged ship – was forced to drop its anchor after experiencing engine issues on its way to Salalah, Oman, sources told the media on Friday. The ship was towed away just a few hours later, according to reports.
