The Chinese foreign ministry has blasted the US and Japan, criticizing their own historical human rights record, after the two nations issued a joint statement pledging a new partnership and slamming China’s behavior.
Speaking on Monday, foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin denounced the joint statement made by Washington and Tokyo, which claimed China’s actions are negatively impacting peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
