Vice President Kamala Harris has gone from laughingly dismissing the urgency of the border crisis to being put in charge of it. President Joe Biden announced her new role even as he blamed the surge of migrants on his predecessor.
Biden announced on Wednesday that Harris will be in charge of their administration’s response to what a senior official described to reporters as the “flow of irregular migrants to the US.”
