The Association of Gulf Jewish Communities or the AGJC will be taking care of all aspects of religious and social life in the region but it will steer clear of politics and will avoid such delicate issues as the fight against the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement or advocacy for Israel.
On Monday, the Jewish communities of six Gulf states announced they would form the region’s first Association of Gulf Jewish Communities or AGJC, uniting the adherents of Judaism in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.
