Morocco recently became the latest Arab League country to agree to normalise relations with Israel, as part of a deal brokered by the US, which in return, agreed to recognise its claim to the disputed Western Sahara region and adopt a “new official” map of the country, incorporating the area, where tensions have simmered since the 1970s.
Outrage was recently sparked in Morocco after a video clip from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed in the background a map delineating Morocco from Western Sahara, reported The Times of Israel.
