After news of yet another potential weapons sale from the United States to Taiwan, China’s Defense Ministry warned the US the move could only further damage relations between Washington and Beijing.
“China firmly opposes US arms sales to Taiwan and urges the US to immediately cancel the projects of selling weapons to Taiwan,” Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of National Defense (MND), said Tuesday, according to People’s Liberation Army news site China Military.
