The five major emerging economies of the BRICS bloc – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – can facilitate a global economic rebound from the Covid-19 crisis, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has said.
“The strength of emerging economies proved key for the recovery of the international economy,” Bolsonaro said at a virtual BRICS summit on Tuesday.
