Germans should limit their contacts to a point when they need to even “take turns” at celebrating Christmas with various relatives to avoid large gatherings, the nation’s nursing care commissioner believes.
In an interview with Germany’s Bild newspaper, Andreas Westerfellhaus said “unusual times require unusual solutions.” Calling on his fellow citizens to embrace a saying “the more the merrier” in an entirely different way, Westerfellhaus suggested Germans celebrate Christmas “twice” or even more times this year to meet with various relatives “in shifts.”
