Luis Arce Catacora, the nominee of former president Evo Morales’ Movement to Socialism (MAS) party, has come ahead in the first round of presidential elections in Bolivia, unofficial early results show.
Arce has won 52.4 percent of the votes, according to the results of the Ciesmori vote count, released by the Bolivian Unitel TV channel.
