Trump official shut down, class solidarity from the rich, attack drones

This week, Lee shows you a successful example of deplatforming. A Trump official was expected to speak at Georgetown University. He’s part of the enforcement of the US’ border policy, a policy which includes the detention and abuse of asylum seekers. A group of protesters shut him down and he eventually left. Then, Lee looks deeper into a week of news including Ellen Degeneres’ friendship with the war criminal President George W. Bush.

Naomi Karavani sits down with Lee with a story about the new market of commercial killer drones. The armed drones will complement Jeff Bezos’ plans to have his packages delivered by their more peaceful kin. Natalie McGill finishes off the show by introducing you to the president’s new labor secretary, the son of late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Eugene Scalia, like his father before him, is no stranger to screwing over marginalized people given his history as a lawyer who has stood up for corporations that railed against workers’ rights.
