Beijing has condemned Washington for reckless and unlawful behavior, after claiming that an American U-2 reconnaissance plane trespassed into a no-fly zone where Chinese military exercises were being held.
China says that the high-altitude spy plane entered off-limits airspace during live-fire drills held by the People’s Liberation Army’s Northern Theater Command. The incursion “seriously interfered” with military training activities in the area, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
