Venezuela says it hopes to resume dialogue on the disputed Essequibo region with Guyana’s new government as soon as possible, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said in a statement.
On Sunday, opposition candidate Irfaan Ali was sworn in as Guyana’s new president.
