The Syrian authorities on Sunday condemned Israel’s plans to annex Palestinian territories in the West Bank of the Jordan River, describing them as an act of aggression, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said.
“Syria expresses strong condemnation and rejection concerning the statements by Israel’s prime minister regarding the annexation of additional Palestinian territories in the West Bank, which is interpreted as aggression … This is a continuous violation and disrespect toward the international laws and agreements regarding the legal status of the occupied territories, especially following the Israeli decision on Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan [Heights],” the ministry said in a statement.
