The Houthis have given Israel another massive headache as they sign off on a new jet deal, as air bases become their latest target! Right, so Israel’s air defences on the face of it are apparently going to get bolstered with a new fleet of jets courtesy of Boeing on the way, although not all are coming at once, and I’m sure they’d be cheering this on top of having US boots on the ground now to man the THAAD missile defence system they have which is picking up the slack for their eroding iron dome and on top of that they’ve got more US planes on the way in the form of B-52 bombers if not for yet another strike by the Houthis in Yemen. It seems they’ve still got hypersonic ballistic missiles in their possession, the so-called Palestine-2 that they have deployed before that has evaded Israel’s air defences and this time they’ve decided to target, as Iran has done in it’s previous retaliations, the Nevatim Air Base in the Negev Desert south of the West Bank, home to Israel’s precious F-35 fighter jets. Yemen says they found their mark, Israel says it was intercepted, but there’s always another missile, therefore there is always another threat, so it’s alright having these jets, but if the main airbase where you keep them is constantly being targeted, how long can you possibly have such an air force for, especially if matters continue to escalate?
