Bolivia’s first indigenous president, Evo Morales, who submitted his resignation last week, still remains popular in the country with his supporters calling for his return from asylum in Mexico. In the wake of Morales’ resignation, many countries have described the transition of power to interim president Jeanine Anez as illegitimate.
