Over 90% of Indian military vaccinated against Covid, ready to help country fight pandemic – army chief of staff

More than 90% of India’s 1.5-million-strong military have already received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and are eager to assist in tackling the country’s tough second wave of the virus, the army’s chief of staff has said.

The vaccination of troops continues and the proportion who have received two shots will soon reach 95%, General Manoj Mukund Naravane said in an interview with India Today on Wednesday.
