Native Americans vs The Line 3 Pipeline Expansion (Tara Houska)

Going Underground Line 3

We speak to Tara Houska, tribal attorney and land defender, about the Line 3 Pipeline expansion, which would bring almost a million barrels of tar sands per day from Alberta, Canada to Wisconsin, US. She discusses how the pipeline breaks treaties signed with Native American tribes and further erases indigenous history and the need for the Biden administration to stop the pipeline expansion in the fight against climate change. Finally, we speak to Yemen-based journalist Hussain Al-Bukhaiti. He discusses the ongoing war in Yemen, why the situation has actually gotten worse since Biden has come to power, why stopping support for offensive operations by the Saudi-led coalition isn’t enough, accusations that the Houthis are being armed by Iran, Britain’s ‘hypocrisy’ in Yemen and the Middle East and why the Houthis have targeted Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure.
