US and Russian warships docked in Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast just a day apart from each other. Washington is seeking to establish ties with Sudan’s fledgling government after it agreed to normalize ties with Israel and found itself removed from the list of what Washington considers “state sponsors of terrorism.” Meanwhile, Russia has acquired a 25-year lease on rights to establish a naval logistic center on the country’s coast. RT America’s Alex Mihailovich reports. Then Andrew Yaw Tchie of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs joins Rick Sanchez to share his expertise.

RT’s Caleb Maupin reports on Defense Sec. Antony Blinken’s claim that the Biden administration will refrain from “spreading democracy” by force and why skeptics fear US foreign policy will change far less than the rhetoric might suggest.
