The Israeli government has claimed Iran will soon be capable of building a nuclear bomb, but according to US nuclear scientists, it would be infeasible to do so using the purity to which Iran is now refining its uranium.
On Tuesday, Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), announced the country would increase its production of 20% enriched uranium to eight times its present amount.
