In August, Russia became the first country in the world to register a vaccine against the coronavirus, dubbed Sputnik V and developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute. The Russian Direct Investment Fund, the vaccine’s main investor, previously stated that Egypt would receive 25 million doses of the medication.
Egypt is very interested in Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus and is currently in touch with Russia on its delivery after all the necessary clinical trials are carried out, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told the broadcaster Rossiya 24.
