The police have injured hundreds of people with their “less-than-lethal” weapons this summer. They’ve been shooting rubber bullets at faces, gassing crowds randomly, and pulling out all of their high-tech “less-than-lethal” toys. Natalie McGill reports on Project Sunshine, a 1950s secret nuclear-testing experiment by the now defunct US Atomic Energy Commission, which involved body-snatching the dead –mostly dead babies– to test how much humans may absorb radioactive material.
