Retired U.S. General and former presidential candidate Wesley Clark has offered up startlingly frank and unsettling revelations about the inner workings of the American political and military establishment. Specifically, Clark has repeatedly revealed that the purpose of the military is not to defend the United States so much as it is to start and perpetuate wars — all with the objective of undermining democracy and indepeendent movements in countries not already under the thumb of the United States.
