Star Wars actor Mark Hamill has great concern for the people of Ukraine and, during a recent TV appearance, noted that Ukraine is the only sovereign country in the world to have been invaded since World War II. Hamill is hopelessly wrong, of course, and his home country of the United States is the worst offender, having invaded any number of “sovereign” states since World War II, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Panama, Korea, Vietnam, Cuba – the list goes on and on.
