They’re continuing the long tradition of black revolutionary thought pioneered by Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, and the Black Panthers. The Leftists discuss the landscape of the US under late-stage capitalism, the distractions the mainstream media and corporate-controlled politicians throw our way, and the strategies that have been used to fight the ruling class throughout history.

Naomi Karavani reports on the fossil fuel industry’s continued push to end the Earth’s ability to sustain human society. Big Oil corporations are suing governments around the world for threatening their profits, and governments are being punished by supranational trade courts covered in corporate interests for taking ineffective action on climate change. Anders Lee looks back at the Battle of Blair Mountain, in which, a century ago, West Virginia mining companies forced miners to accept horrific labor conditions.
