Facebook has removed the main page of the Myanmar military after two people were gunned down while protesting against a coup that toppled the government earlier this month.

The social media platform announced on Sunday that it had taken action against the military force’s Tatmadaw True News Information Team Page for repeatedly violating Facebook’s guidelines prohibiting “incitement of violence and coordinating harm.”
