The Azerbaijani military has passed control of its air force operations in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region to Turkey, Yerevan claimed on Wednesday. Ankara dismissed the allegation, labeling Yerevan’s assertions “propaganda.”
While Turkish officials say none of their aircraft have been used in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Yerevan says Ankara’s military command has allegedly been coordinating Azerbaijani airstrikes against targets in Nagorno-Karabakh. These assertions were made by Armenian defense ministry spokeswoman, Shushan Stepanyan in a series of Twitter posts.
