UAE hopes normalization deal dispels Israeli doubts over US F-35 sale, despite Netanyahu’s open opposition

The United Arab Emirates has said a request to buy US F-35 warplanes has been on the table since before it agreed to normalize ties with Israel, despite Benjamin Netanyahu’s vocal opposition to any such sales to the Gulf state.

The Abraham Accord agreement should dispel “any grain of doubt” over the UAE buying stealth F-35 fighter jets from the US, the Gulf state’s minister of state for foreign affairs, Anwar Gargash, said on Tuesday.
